What it does
Overview
Payment Rails connect the ecosystem to the forms of money that settle transactions: stablecoins, CBDCs, and traditional fiat rails. It is what lets a tokenised asset be paid for and distributions be paid out, in the currency and on the rail that suits the parties. Multiple non-USD stablecoins are in development, including a GBP stablecoin.

Payment Rails provide the money leg the Settlement Engine settles against, connecting the ecosystem to stablecoins, CBDCs, and fiat so tokenised assets can be paid for and distributions paid out.
